Condensation in modern roofs
Even in relatively modern houses condensation can be a problem in roof spaces. A lack of natural ventilation can lead to quite severe problems as seen in this mid 1970s roof recently:

This part is rarely seen but this can be a measure of how good your roofers are. If there is no condensation during the cold weather, it means that they didn't do a good job in putting up the roof. Good roofers know pretty well how to avoid moisture in the attic and in extra spaces on the roof.
